Bissell Hall Restoration
Wilmington, Vermont
Vantage Peak Construction was honored to help restore and renovate one of Wilmington's most treasured landmarks—a nearly 200-year-old Greek Revival church that has been transformed into a vibrant community art gallery and gathering space.
Preserving the building's historic character was at the heart of every decision. We carefully repaired and replaced deteriorated exterior siding, completed extensive rot repair, maintained the original stained glass windows, and repainted the entire interior to breathe new life into the space while respecting its historic charm.
To ensure the building could serve the community for generations to come, we also completed significant infrastructure upgrades, including new electrical systems, the installation of high-efficiency heat pumps for year-round comfort, and we are currently awaiting an easement approval by the Town to complete construction of a new ADA-accessible entrance ramp, aiming to make the building more welcoming and accessible to all.
This project is a reflection of our passion for preserving Vermont's historic buildings while thoughtfully integrating modern improvements that enhance comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. We're proud to have played a role in revitalizing a cherished community landmark that will continue to inspire residents and visitors alike.
